[How To Play]
Each franchise must draft a mandatory of 16 positions (10 starting positions + 6 Bench positions) while remaining under the $220 salary cap. Once you have drafted your team, you must activate your team on a weekly basis, a starting line up consists of:
- QB1
- RB1
- RB2
- WR1
- WR2
- WR3
- TE1
- FLEX1 (RB, WR, TE)
- FLEX2 (RB, WR, TE)
- DEF
- BENCH
- BENCH
- BENCH
- BENCH
- BENCH
- BENCH
Failure to activate your roster week 1 will mean that you will receive a total score of 0 points for that week. Please note that when you draft, all your players go onto your bench, not on your starting lineup!
Teams will play out a randomly, predetermined schedule that puts one franchise versus another franchise. It is one team’s active roster against another team’s active roster and the team that outscores the other, according to NFL games, shall be deemed to have won that game on that week.
[Team of the Week Prizes]
For the 2022 My Brothers Keeper, the highest scoring team in each conference will be awarded $100. Should two or more teams tie, they will split the prize evenly.
[Drafting a Team]
Prior to the draft, each franchise will have already paid the franchise fee of $500. The draft will take place online, in auction format, with each franchise responsible for purchasing 16 positions while remaining under the $220 salary cap.
When an owner has totally filled his roster, he is now complete and shall no longer take part in the draft. The minimum bid for any player is $1 while the maximum is $205, as it would cost $1 to fill the remaining 15 players ($1×15 = $15, totaling $220). Each owner must ensure that they have enough money to fulfil their entire roster.
Once the draft has started, a randomized team will start the auction by putting the first player on the auction. The order will then go numerically thereafter. The player up for bid will go to the franchise who bid the highest price for that player.
[Franchise Player Value Formula]
At the end of each season, each franchise will have the option to designate up to a maximum of FIVE players as a provisional franchise player for the proceeding season. A provisional franchise player must be a player who is on your season starting roster the preceding year and was acquired at the DRAFT, not any player acquired through the Waiver Wire. At the end of the season, each franchise will submit their Franchise Players through email by a given deadline. Failure to submit will mean that all your players will be released into the draft for the following year.
The Franchise Player can only be named as such for a maximum of three years, at which time that player will cease to be a Franchise Player and automatically becomes a free agent for the following season.
Below is a breakdown of how the salary of franchise players will work. The salaries of the franchise players will count towards your $220 starting bid for the next year’s draft.
YEARS | Franchise Player | Player Salary | % Salary Increase | Following Year Player Salary |
1 | Drafted- E. Elliott | $50 (amount paid for at draft) | Nil | $50 |
2 | E. Elliott | $50 | 50% | $75 |
3 | E. Elliott | $75 | 75% | $131.25 |
4 | E. Elliott | $131 | Nil | Free Agent |
[Activating a Roster]
The activating of a roster shall be done only one way explicitly and that is to manage your team and activate a roster online on the league’s online service, myfantasyleague.com. On a normal Sunday, teams will have up until game time on Sunday to activate their rosters otherwise, MyFantasyLeauge.com will default to the previous week’s lineup.
In the cases where you have a player on Thursday, Saturday, or Monday, you have until game time of the particular game to activate such players. If the player is previously activated the week prior, then he will be considered activated if his team plays the early week game and he is not deactivated.

[Tie Breakers]
Ties are permitted for the regular season and will affect your record accordingly. In playoff competition however, if two teams tie against each other then the scoring will move to Bench scoring to determine a winner. The team that has the most Total Bench Points Scored on their entire roster will be deemed the Winner and shall advance.
In instances where to two or more teams tie for any playoff position during the Regular Season, the following tie-breaking formula shall apply:
- Record head-to-head amongst the teams that are tied only
- Most Total Points For
In determining a tie-breaker note that anytime a tie between three or more teams has eliminated one team, the tie breaking scenario begins anew from the beginning to determine the next tie-breaker for the remaining teams.

[Playoffs]
The conclusion of the regular season in Week 13 will determine who will qualify for the playoffs in Week 14. The top eight teams in each conference shall qualify for postseason play with those teams ranking of 1 to 8 based on how they finished in the standings.
Week 14 will see the ranked teams numbered 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5 in each conference for the first round of the playoffs. The winner of each playoff game advances, while the loser is eliminated.
Week 15 will put the highest seed team in each conference versus the lowest ranked team to emerge from Week 14 (Note: Teams maintain their ranking throughout playoffs and do not assume the ranking of the team they eliminated).
Week 16 will put the two winning teams from each conference against each other for their respective Conference championship. The winner of each conference championship game shall advance to the final.
Week 17 will be the My Brothers Keeper Bowl Championship. The winner being declared as Champion.
[Waiver Wire & Free Agency]
Each team will be allotted $220 additional waiver wire dollars after the DRAFT, which they can use to release and purchase additional players throughout the season
The Waiver Wire will run weekly, opening Week 1 and closes Week 13. Each team can only make a maximum of 2 transactions per week throughout weeks 2-12 should their Blind-Bid Account allow.
The Waiver Wire System will be operated under a Blind-Bidding System, which will take place each Tuesday Morning at 6 AM and it will be automatically run on Thursday at 6 AM. Owners who have placed winning bids will see the player on their roster Thursday at 6 AM.
Free agency will be available to add/drop players the remainder of the week.
By releasing a player, the Team releasing the previously drafted player also relinquishes all rights to future Franchise Player Status going forward, even should that team re-acquire said player back off waivers.
NOTE: You are only allowed a maximum of 2 Add/Drop Transactions and 2 Waiver Wire Claims per Week!
[League Expansion]
New commissioners who join the league will be subject to a league expansion fee. Similarly, league commissioners who would like to re-locate and purchase a new team will be subject to the same league expansion fee.
League Expansion Fee
The league expansion fee is 10% of the current year’s franchise fees. As of 2023, the current franchise fees are $500, making the league expansion fee $50.
How League Expansion Works
Current franchise owners have the ability to relocate before we open the vacant teams to the public.
You are to submit a relocation request via email by decided date.
If there is only 1 submission for relocation, then you will be granted the relocation and subject to the current year’s league expansion fee.
If there are 2 or more teams that wish to relocate to a team, we will enter a blind bidding war. Each owner in contention is to email their bid to the League Commissioner by a specific, predetermined date. The highest bid wins, and the amount bid becomes the league expansion fee.
League Expansion Fee Redistribution
A summary of the revenue generated from league expansions will be documented and shared with all owners of My Brothers Keeper Fantasy League. ALL fees collected from League Expansion fees will be distributed evenly into Team of the Week prizes.
League Expansion Keepers
The franchise owner who takes over the franchise will have the ability to choose up to 5 keepers that are eligible on the team. They are not inheriting a “blank slate” team and do not have the ability to keep any player that is not eligible.
